What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at 11 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your Viking Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes can be redeemed for all-you-care-to-eat meals at our residential dining hall, Viking Marketplace.
Dining Dollars
- Dining Dollars Flexibility: Dining Dollars can be conveniently used at any Viking Food Co. location.
- Rollover and Expiration Dates:
- Unused Dining Dollars from the summer semester will carry over to the fall semester, ensuring you get the most out of your meal plan.
- Any remaining Dining Dollars from the fall semester will then continue to roll over into the spring semester.
- However, it's essential to note that Dining Dollars expire annually on the last day of exams during the spring semester.
- Non-Transferrable and Non-Refundable: Please remember that Dining Dollars are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

Meal Plan Benefits
With your meal plan, you receive many benefits and perks, including:
- Meal swipes give you access into Viking Marketplace, the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall
- Dining dollars turn your Viking Card into a debit card that can be used at any 11 Viking Food. Co. locations throughout campus.
- Meal plan holders’ may “exchange” up to 30 meal swipes per semester at Barrio, Viking Public House or Wolstein Center.
- All Access and weekly meal plan include 5 guest swipes per semester.
- Our talented team of 4 certified chefs lead the campus culinary crew of nearly 300 employees. This specially trained team expertly crafts diverse and innovative meal options ranging from traditional favorites to unique cultural cuisine here at CSU!
- We are committed to providing students with nutritious options that fit each need.
- Viking Marketplace is a nut-free facility. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free/friendly, and nut-free options are available throughout our dining locations on campus. Did you know Viking Food Co. hosts 50+ events throughout the academic year? We believe that the ingredients for a truly memorable dining experience include a dose of fun and a spoonful of creativity. Casual atmosphere with wifi, TVs, music and lounge-style seating—perfect for studying or hanging out with friends.
To-go meals: On-the-go? Enroll in our reusable to-go program, OZZI to participate in our take-out option at Viking Marketplace. A $5 refundable deposit is request upon enrollment. This deposit is exchanged for a clean box every meal. The amount is refundable at any time if one does not wish to continue the to-go program.
